NEW PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

Winnersh Residents for Action on Planning is made up of people from a wide range of backgrounds whose common interest is the protection of our village Winnersh.

WRAP is an informal, non-political, non- profit making, volunteer self-help group of residents which form and re-form to address the excesses proposed with each new development.

WRAP is effective in causing the Wokingham District Council's Planning Committee to seriously consider aspects of proposals that might otherwise not be brought to its attention.

WRAP fights appeals for Winnersh.

WRAP helps residents write a case and will represent them at Wokingham District Council's Planning Committee meetings and appeals when requested by affected residents.

WRAP's aim is to set in motion dialogue with residents, Wokingham District Council and developers to negotiate a satisfactory way forward for the village of Winnersh.

WRAP has achieved a good working relationship with Officers at Wokingham District Council - as without communication we have nothing!

        

WRAP's experience has grown over the past 7 years and we can share information with you.

 

Because of Government’s legislation the South East of England is expected to build up to 650,000 new dwellings between 2006 and 2026.

Therefore we here in Winnersh are not exempt from that commitment, which will certainly come our way, but WRAP wants developments that we can live with and  developments that we can live in safely with the proper infrastructure in place first.
